Tuesday, January 31, within the 16th round round HH the President of the State's Cup which was ended 3/1 for Baniyas FC.
Al Dhafra coach played with a team consisting of Abdullah Hassan as a goalkeeper, Khaled Butti, Khaled Aldurmaki, Ahmed Fawzi, Mohammed Al Rayhi, Tiago Leonço, Leonard Amesimeku, Abdullah Al Refaei and Pedro Pavlov.
The first half started quickly from both while both sides were searching for the progress goal but there was no change till the referee ended it up in a goalless draw.
The second half started more quickly than the first one but there was change in the match result till the 56th minute came which witnessed the first substitution for Al Dhafra coach by entering Mohammed Al Junaibi in stead of Ahmed Fawzi after which Al Dhafra was able to score the first goal in 57th minute by the Brazilian striker Tiago Leonço.
The match went on with the same result till the 72nd minute came which witnessed the draw goal of Baniyas by the player, Suhail Al Noubi.
The match went on with this result till the referee ended it in a 1-1 draw after which they played an additional time.
The additional time started with great pressure from Baniyas players who were able to score the second goal by Nicolas Gimenez in the 7th minute of the first half.
The 11th minute of the second additional time witnessed a third goal for Baniyas by Shaheen Al Durmaki after which the match was ended 3/1 for Baniyas.
By this result, Baniyas uprated to next stage of this competition while Al Dhafra left it.
