About Club
Al Dhafra Sports Club was established in 2000 in Zayed City in the Al Dhafra region, as part of the state’s efforts to support youth and sports. Its establishment came as an extension of the vision of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, with the aim of empowering youth and enhancing the role of sports in serving society. The club provides various sports and social services to citizens and residents in various cities in the region.
Club subsidiaries
Al Dhafra Football Company
Al Dhafra Company is the parent company from which other companies branched out. The club's beginnings before its establishment were as a center for Al Jazira Club. Then the club was established in 2000 and the club developed to participate in the first professional football league in the 2008/2009 season, after which Al Dhafra Football Company was established, which is concerned with managing, marketing and developing professional football activity in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and the UAE Professional League. The football company carries out its activities at the club through the first football team, other age group teams, the football school, and the club's private football academy.
Al Dhafra Games Company
Al Dhafra Sports Club was established in 2013 as part of its efforts to provide greater opportunities and diversity in service provision and talent discovery and development in a number of individual and team sports other than football. The sports company currently includes jujubes for boys and girls, basketball for men, handball for cubs and juniors, and volleyball for cubs and juniors.
Al Dhafra Investment Company
The company was established in 2015 to support the club's professional and institutional work and to support the club's various activities. The company's business is diverse, including investing in, establishing and managing sports projects, as well as investing and developing real estate projects, establishing them, and managing the club's assets and investments.
