The second edition of the Liwa International Football Championship will kick off today, Saturday, at 3:30 PM, with the participation of four clubs: Al-Seeb from Oman, Bani Yas, Falcon, and the host and organizer of the tournament, Al Dhafra.
The championship will be held at the Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan Stadium in Zayed City, as part of the preparatory tournaments organized by the club to support the first team’s campaign for the 2025/2026 season.
The opening round today will feature two matches: the first will see Al Dhafra face Falcon at 3:30 PM, followed by Bani Yas against Al Seeb at 6:15 PM.
The coaching staff of Al Dhafra hopes that the tournament will serve as an ideal preparation stage for the first team before their upcoming match against Al Jazira on the 21st of this month, which will be part of the ninth round of the ADNOC Pro League.
Meanwhile, the teams of Bani Yas, Al Seeb, and Falcon are aiming to use the tournament as a test of their players’ readiness ahead of the season’s challenges.
We wish all participating teams the best of luck.
