The ADNOC Pro League resumes following a break for the Gulf Cup and the participation of UAE clubs in Asian and Gulf competitions, with Al Dhafra returning to home action against newly promoted United FC. The hosts will be eager to get back to winning ways and turn their season around.

The fixture carries added significance for Al Dhafra, whose performances and results in the opening five rounds fell short of expectations. This led to the departure of former head coach Alen Horvat and the appointment of experienced French coach Patrice Carteron.

The match marks Carteron’s first appearance in charge of Al Dhafra in the ADNOC Pro League. The Frenchman will be looking to make an immediate impact, improve the team’s performance and guide the club back to winning ways.

Al Dhafra enter the contest with three points from five matches, having recorded one victory, leaving them 12th in the standings. United, meanwhile, have collected seven points and sit 10th, adding further importance to the encounter as the hosts look to improve their league position.

Al Dhafra will be hoping to make home advantage count, secure all three points and give their supporters renewed optimism for the matches ahead.
