Al Dhafra Club secured a 1-1 draw away against Al Bataeh Club in their Round 16 clash of the ADNOC Pro League, held on Friday evening at Khalid bin Mohammed Stadium in Sharjah.

Al Dhafra began the match with a cautious approach, aiming to absorb the early pressure from the hosts before gradually taking control and building attacking moves through both central areas and the flanks.

The breakthrough came in the 24th minute when Karim El Berkaoui won a penalty, which he confidently converted to give Al Dhafra the lead.

Al Bataeh responded with increased attacking intent, but Al Dhafra’s midfield and defensive lines remained compact and disciplined, ensuring the visitors went into halftime with a 1-0 advantage.

At the start of the second half, Al Dhafra looked to maintain their lead while searching for a second goal, as Al Bataeh intensified their pressure in pursuit of an equalizer. The hosts were awarded a penalty in the 66th minute and successfully converted it to level the score.

Seeking to regain momentum, Al Dhafra’s head coach introduced Marcelinho in the 71st minute in place of Ryan to boost the attacking line. Further changes followed in the 84th minute, with Khalil Al Hammadi and Abdulrahman Susi coming on for Karim El Berkaoui and Ibrahim Bayesh.

In the 87th minute, Marcelinho found the back of the net for what would have been a decisive second goal, but the effort was ruled out for offside. Both sides continued to push for a winner in the closing stages, but the score remained unchanged until the final whistle.

With this result, Al Dhafra move to 17 points in 10th place, while Al Bataeh advance to 13 points in 12th position, as Round 16 of the ADNOC Pro League draws to a close.
